What the scholarship covers
The Tagaloa scholarships are offered for the final year of postgraduate study. They support Pacific student achievement in tertiary institutions.
The scholarships are part our wider Talanoa Ako response to the Pacific PowerUP evaluations 2016–2019. Pacific communities highlighted the need to grow Pacific capacity and capability within communities and the education sector.
There are 2 Tagaloa scholarships available each year:
- 1 master's scholarship of $10,000.
- 1 doctoral scholarship of $14,000.
Who can apply
You can apply if you are in your final year of study and of indigenous Pacific Island descent. Your study should strengthen Pacific research capability and capacity and benefit Pacific communities.
