Extraordinary roll growth funding applications

Applications open in the first week of November.

Applications close in the third week of November.

Who can get extraordinary roll growth funding

Your school's roll may grow beyond what you are funded for. If this is the case, you can apply to us for funding in November, when your school roll is unlikely to grow much further.

How we calculate your funding

Extraordinary roll growth funding applies to any schools where the number of students exceed real or projected roll growth. This is called the trigger point.

The trigger point is different depending on year level.

Schools with Years 1 to 8

For primary year levels we compare the:

  • 1 July funding roll
  • new entrant adjustment
  • highest roll that you supply to us in your application form.

If your highest roll number exceeds your funding roll plus your new entrant adjustment, you can apply for extraordinary roll growth funding.

Schools with Years 7 and 8 only

For intermediate year levels we compare the:

  • 1 March funding roll
  • average monthly roll.

If your average roll is higher than your March funding roll, you can apply for extraordinary roll growth funding.

Schools with Years 9 to 13

For secondary school year levels, we compare the:

  • quarterly funding roll for March, June and September
  • average monthly roll.

If your average roll is higher than your quarterly funding roll, you can apply for extraordinary roll growth funding.

How to find the required roll information

You can calculate your average monthly roll using the roll data on the application form.

Your most recent funding roll can be found on Pourato.
