What information can be shared
Under the agreement, information can be shared when:
- we have conduct/competence concerns about an early learning teacher, or
- an early learning teacher has been convicted of an offence punishable by imprisonment for 3 months or more
- the council is aware there has been, or is potential for, a risk to a child's wellbeing or safety while at an early learning service and needs to notify us.
We will ask the service and teacher to share information about themselves to the council by a certain date. If they do not do this, we will share the required information with the council.
The Teaching Council has information about what information can be shared when reporting a concern.
