Submit your planning and reporting documents

Find out how to submit your planning and reporting documents to the Ministry of Education.

To create your documents

Use Microsoft Office products to create your planning and reporting documents. If this isn't possible save your documents (for example, Google docs) in a Microsoft Office format (for example,.docx or .xlsx).

All documents must be 22MB or less to be successfully uploaded to the School Data Portal.

Make sure you have an education sector logon (ESL) so that you can access the School Data Portal.

Ensure the privacy of individuals in your documents

Before you make any of your planning and reporting documents publicly available, your board must check if they contain any information that might breach an individual’s privacy. If they do, you may have grounds to redact this information to protect their privacy.
