NZ Association of Intermediate and Middle Schooling (NZAIMS)

NZAIMS provides support in the area of leadership. You need to be a member to access this support.

NZAIMS members are mainly principals. The organisation is committed to meeting the learning and developmental needs of emerging adolescents (10-14 year olds).

Expertise and support

  • NZAIMS provides facilitated support to its members through its annual conference and other professional development events.
  • NZAIMS also refers its members to NZSTA, NZPF, the Ministry or other organisations for support.

Key networks

  • Regional AIMS groups are affiliated to NZAIMS.  There are key contact people in Auckland, South Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Wellington and Christchurch/Canterbury (as these groups have the largest clusters of membership).
  • NZAIMS maintains close links with the Association of Middle Levels Educators (AMLE) in the USA and Adolescent Success in Australia.
