The Ministry has established a range of supplier panels to make the tender process faster and easier, and to reward high performing suppliers with more opportunities.
- Construction Directory
- Construction project pipeline
- Construction Consultancy Services
- Project Management Panel
- 10YPP Consultants Panel
- ICT Contractors Panel
- Current tenders
The Construction Directory is a national panel of suppliers by region, value band, project type and delivery method for construction projects over $500,000 (capital works). This directory is available for use by Ministry led projects only. All projects will be tendered to Directory suppliers in the first instance.
Joining the Construction Directory
The Ministry intends to refresh the Directory on at least an annual basis. If you are interested in applying to the panel please email EIS.Commercial@education.govt.nz for further information.
A forward pipeline of capital works projects is available for suppliers to view and prepare for upcoming tender opportunities.
Christchurch Schools Rebuild (CSR) projects
CSR projects are excluded from the Construction Directory, as these will continue to be delivered through established construction panels. For more information see:
The Ministry of Education is one of over 130 government agencies that are required by the Government Procurement Rules to use the All-of-Government construction consultancy services panel.
The All-of-Government (AoG) construction consultancy services (CCS) panel gives us access to a panel that is specifically set up for the consultancy services we need for our construction projects.
If you aren’t already on the AoG CCS panel as a provider, joining is easy and allows you to offer your services to a wide range of government agencies.
You can find out more about joining the AoG panel on the New Zealand Government Procurement website.
Professional services directory
From September, the Ministry will use its specialised sub-panel of the AoG panel called the Professional Services Directory. The Professional Services Directory will initially cover master planning, lead design and quantity surveying services. Over time we will add further consultancy services, including Project Management.
All suppliers on the Professional Services Directory are required to also be a members of the AoG Construction Consultancy Services Panel and, until the Professional Services Directory is fully operational, we will use the AoG panel for sourcing relevant services in the first instance.
