StudyLink manages the payments for student loans and allowances. Their website has all the information about applying for loans and allowances.

StudyLink is part of the Ministry of Social Development. The Ministry of Education’s role is to advise Ministers on loans and allowances policy.

The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) collects loan repayments. They are responsible for making sure students meet their repayment requirements.

Your child may be eligible for Fees Free on completion of their first tertiary qualification or work-based programme.

Find out if they are eligible and whether they can claim Fees Free for their final year of study or final two years of work-based training.
