Notice of Initiation - adult and community education staff
On 3 May 2019 the Ministry of Education received formal notification from the New Zealand Post Primary Teachers' Association Te Wehengarua (NZPPTA) that it seeks to renew the collective agreement covering ACE personnel, i.e., co-ordinators (teaching and non-teaching), professional supervisors, co-ordinator's assistants (formerly known as liaison assistants) and tutors employed in any state or state integrated schools and who is employed by a Board of Trustees.
The intended parties to the collective agreement will be the NZPPTA and the Secretary for Education acting under the delegation from the State Services Commissioner. The agreement sought would bind all the employees defined who are, or become members of the NZPPTA and every board of trustees employing such employees coming within the coverage of the proposed collective agreement.
A copy of the Notice of Initiation of Bargaining for the Adult and Community Education (ACE) Staff in Schools' Collective Agreement [PDF, 97 KB] needs to be provided as soon as possible to any employee(s) that may be covered by the renewed Adult and Community Education (ACE) in Schools' Collective Agreement.
