Vote now in Teaching Council board elections

Voting is well under way in elections for the Teaching Council Board – voting closes on 26 March.

Teachers, teacher educators, leaders and principals from across the education system (primary, secondary, early learning and teacher education) can choose who will represent them on their professional body.

The single transferrable vote system will be used and for most teachers voting will be online.

Each registered teacher and holder of a Limited Authority to Teach (LAT) will receive an email or letter with a unique access code and password. If you haven’t received this yet then contact Election Services at 0800 922 822 or info@electionservices.co.nz.

Voting closes at 12 noon on 26 March. After the elections, Education Minister Chris Hipkins will appoint an additional 6 board members.

The Teaching Council has more information about the elections.
