KidsCan Charitable Trust announced as supplier for Early Childhood Education (ECE) Food Programme
On 24 October 2024, the Government announced that KidsCan Charitable Trust are the supplier for the Early Childhood Education (ECE) Food Programme that was announced as part of Budget 2024.
10,000 2-to-5-year-olds in ECE will receive food from this programme.
All 2–5-year-olds attending eligible ECE services will be able to access KidsCan food.
Eligibility for the programme will be determined by key factors, including socio-economic data from the new Early Childhood Education Equity Index, service types, availability of kitchen facilities and staffing capacity to prepare and serve food.
KidsCan will contact eligible services directly and the programme will begin in early 2025.
