Call for outstanding Māori students to continue Battalion’s legacy

The Ngārimu VC and 28th (Māori) Battalion Memorial Scholarships are now open to exceptional applicants of Māori descent who are undertaking tertiary study in 2018.

People applying for the scholarships should share similar characteristics to the men of the legendary 28th Māori Battalion including adaptability, perseverance, mana, passion and innovation.

Successful applicants have confidence in their identity and culture, an ability to ‘walk in 2 worlds’ and are grounded in their community and their people.
