Tapasā - cultural competencies framework consultation

We’d like your feedback on the draft Tapasā cultural competencies framework - a “navigational tool” for early learning and school teachers of Pasifika learners. The consultation is open now and closes at 5pm on 30 June 2017.

Your feedback is important to us as it will help shape the final Tapasā framework to be completed in July. Please take the opportunity to have your say.

About Tapasa

Tapasā is a Samoan term for compass, and once finalised, the new competencies framework will help support teachers and leaders to strengthen their understanding, skills and knowledge when teaching Pasifika learners, from early childhood through to secondary. The framework is also designed to help improve the way teachers and leaders engage with Pasifika parents, families and communities.

Anyone can feedback but we especially want to hear from teachers (Pasifika and non-Pasifika), Pasifika learners, Pasifika parents and families and young people. Initial teacher training providers, tertiary institutions, school board trustees, relevant government and non-government agencies as well as community and cultural leaders and groups are also invited to give feedback.
