The Kotare Park subdivision is also zoned for Leamington Primary School for Years 1-6. The Ministry does not intend to change the Leamington Primary School home zone at this time.
Overview
The proposed amendment expands the home zone to include roads now zoned as residential between Te Rerenga Terrace and the Velodrome, as well as roads within the Kotare Park subdivision on the corner of Cambridge Road and Silverwood Lane (including Whakahaumako Road, Hauhake Terrace, Keri Rua Road, and Silverwood Lane).

What happens next
After consultation is finished, the Ministry of Education will collate all feedback and process this information to ensure it meets the requirements of the Education and Training Act 2020 (Schedule 20, Clause 5). If the Ministry is satisfied that the enrolment scheme amendment meets these requirements, the enrolment scheme will be finalised and provided to the Board. The school’s board must implement the finalised enrolment scheme as soon as practicable.
The amended scheme is proposed to commence from Term 2, 2025.
