General information
There are two Tagaloa scholarships on offer, which will support Pacific tertiary students to achieve in tertiary institutions.
The scholarships are part of the Ministry’s wider Talanoa Ako response to the Pacific PowerUP evaluations 2016–2019. Pacific communities highlighted the need for ‘Pacific as and by Pacific’ to be supported by growing Pacific capacity and capability within communities and the education sector.
There are two Tagaloa post-graduate scholarships available annually for a total value of $24,000:
- One Masters scholarship of $10,000 for one year of full-time study
- One Doctoral scholarship of $14,000 for one year of full-time study
The Tagaloa scholarship is for one year. The successful applicants will be awarded their scholarships in January 2021 for the 2021 academic year.
They willl be required to provide an end of 2021 progress film and progress report.
