Who can get funding

We fund ākonga | students enrolled in Pacific bilingual and immersion programmes in immersion levels 1 and 2. Levels 3 and 4 are not funded.

To qualify for funding, students have to meet all the criteria for each level. These are set out in the school roll return guidelines on Education Counts.

The guidelines also explain how to record the Pacific bilingual and immersion programme levels in your school's student management system (SMS) or roll template. We use this information to calculate your funding.
