What is TELA+
TELA+ is a digital device leasing scheme for eligible teaching staff in state and state-integrated schools.
Devices are heavily subsidised by the Ministry and offer significant cost savings to schools.
You can lease selected Acer, Apple, HP and Lenovo devices, including laptops, tablets and Chromebooks. The leases are for 4 years and include user support and full indemnity insurance.
Who can lease a device
You can lease a TELA+ device if you are:
- a principal or teacher, and
- working with Year 1-13 classes, and
- in a state or state-integrated school, and
- full-time or part-time (at least 0.5 full-time equivalent at a single school).
How to join the TELA+ scheme
If you are not a member, but meet the eligibility criteria and want to join the scheme, contact the TELA+ helpdesk.

Visit the TELA+ website for more information about the scheme and details of the devices available for lease.
Devices for office staff and computer labs
Devices for office staff and computer labs are excluded from the TELA+ scheme. For these you need to purchase or lease a device separately. Schools can purchase ex-leased TELA+ devices for office staff and computer labs.
Alternatively, schools can access devices through the All-of-Government hardware contract.
