Choose Google or Microsoft software
To manage costs effectively and avoid unnecessary costs to the education sector:
- only order the Google or Microsoft licences you need – you can order more licences quickly and easily if your requirements change
- we encourage you to use either Google or Microsoft software, not both.
We are exploring ways to collect data on licence use. This may include an application and/or authorisation from kura and schools to collect anonymised, non-personal data.
How to get the software
For Ministry-funded Google for Education licences, or products not covered by the agreement, contact a Google for Education partner.
Licence allocation
The number of students on your school roll determines the number of licences you receive.
Licences must be used within 3 months of being assigned to your school or they may be reassigned to other schools.
