Oat the Goat | Oti te Nanekoti wins at NZ Design awards
Oat the Goat | Oti te Nanekoti has won the Interactive Purple Pin and Moving Image Purple Pin at the Design Institute of New Zealand awards.
Oat the Goat | Oti te Nanekoti, an interactive story that aims to teach 4-7 year olds the power of kindness, has won two awards at the NZ Design Awards in Auckland on Saturday 22 September. Oat the Goat won the Interactive Purple Pin and the Moving Image Purple Pin.
Oat the Goat | Oti te Nanekoti was nominated for four awards:
- Ngā Aho Award
- Public Good Award
- Moving Image
The engaging, pick-a-path story follows Oat as he embarks on the adventure of his life, meets some surprising new friends along the way and has to make some important decisions on his quest to reach the tippity top of the mountain.
Narrated in English by David Fane and in te Reo Māori by Piripi Taylor, Oat the Goat features the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and composer Tane Upjohn-Beatson who incorporates traditional Māori instruments taonga pūoro in the music soundtrack.
