Review of the Compulsory Student Services Fees
The Ministry of Education is reviewing the Compulsory Student Services Fees (CSSF) to ensure it is fit for purpose. A tertiary provider can charge a compulsory student service fee to help fund the costs of delivering services such as health care and recreation facilities.
As part of the review we are seeking feedback from tertiary staff and students. We have identified two specific areas we are seeking feedback about:
- the transparency of the decision-making processes relating to the CSSF, particularly the extent to which students are included, and
- whether the categories of services that CSSF revenue can be used to fund, are fit for purpose.
We have some questions about how compulsory student services fees are set and used that we want your views on; it shouldn’t take more than 5 minutes of your time.
All responses will remain anonymous.
The survey will close on 26 August 2015.
